MCKINNEY FALLS STATE PARK

Map:  A color, contour map of McKinney Falls State Park will be provided to all registrants at the start. Map Scale 1:7500. Contour interval 2.5 meters.

Entry Costs: 

*A $5 state park entrance fee to be paid directly to the park personnel upon entry into the park is also required unless you have a state park pass.  See the Texas State Park website for park fee information.

Location: Meet Site and Headquarters are at McKinney Falls State Park, 5808 McKinney Falls Parkway, Austin, TX  78744.  The park is located just west of the Austin Bergstrom International Airport.

Directions from North of Austin:  Take highway 35 south through downtown Austin to eastbound highway 71.  Go 0.9 miles on Highway 71 and take the Montopolis Dr exit.  Go 1.1 miles and turn right on Montopolis Dr.  In 0.5 miles turn left onto Burleson Rd.  Follow Burleson Rd for 1.4 miles and turn right onto McKinney Falls Parkway.  The park entrance is 1.8 miles down on the right.  Once in the park follow the signs to the registration area.  On Saturday the registration area will be the second right after entering the park and the first right after that.  If you wish to bypass downtown Austin (i.e. it is a game day and the traffic is bad), then you can take 183 east and 1.9 miles after the 71 interchange turn right onto McKinney Falls parkway and follow the directions noted under the directions from Houston the last few miles to the park.

Directions from South of Austin:  Take Highway 35 north to eastbound highway 71.  Go 0.9 miles on Highway 71 and take the Montopolis Dr exit.  Go 1.1 miles and turn right on Montopolis Dr.  In 0.5 miles turn left onto Burleson Rd.  Follow Burleson Rd for 1.4 miles and turn right onto McKinney Falls Parkway.  The park entrance is 1.8 miles down on the right.  Once in the park follow the signs to the registration area.  On Saturday the registration area will be the second right after entering the park and the first right after that.

Directions from Houston:  Take 10 West towards San Antonio.  In Columbus, take exit 695 towards La Grange/Austin and head northwest on Highway 71 for 82.1 miles.  Just after the Austin airport take a slight right and merge onto Highway 183 South towards Lockhart.  In 1.9 miles turn right onto McKinney Falls Parkway.  Go 2.8 miles and the park entrance is on the right.  Once in the park follow the signs to the registration area.  On Saturday the registration area will be the second right after entering the park and the first right after that.
